An interesting item related to the little-known history of the Warring Area "Vilnius", the application of which we could meet for the first time in our 15th auction at the humidor with dedication - item 5108.
The glass without engraving, but marked with Vilnius silver punch 2 - (sample 875), which agrees with the district of the Warring Area "Vilnius". Probably an item made for the command, made of precious bullion. On the underside punched with the MW contractor's namesake. Above the application unidentified punca CH (?). Gilded in the center.
The appliqué beautifully executed in silver, from the same workshop as in the aforementioned humidor.
Attached to the glass is an old tag from the Warmet jewelry factory, where the glass was probably sold after the war (the weight and sample written on the tag match the actual weight and sample of the silver in the glass).
Silver, height 68.5 mm, diameter 34.4 to 47.5 mm, weight 68.0 g.
