A beautifully preserved 1 zloty 1946 SPECIMEN banknote. The highest note awarded to this denomination - PMG 66 EPQ.
The banknote is printed in red, in the form of a diagonal cross out on both sides and SPECIEMEN printed in the center.
The banknote pattern is generally printed in very limited quantities, usually when a new, hitherto unknown denomination is introduced into circulation, and is intended for distribution to banks, cash registers to facilitate banknote recognition, as comparison material. Giving it the characteristics of a pattern (overprints) is intentional, it is intended to prevent its possible introduction into circulation. Due to the small circulation of banknote patterns are rare and highly valued by collectors.
