A very interesting type of proof printing of 100 zloty 1947.
One-sided reverse print made on paper similar to the target, but without watermark and even giving the impression of better quality paper - smoothed.
On the right margin a perforated number/date in the form 3..9.2.1.1948
Interestingly, the Lucow Collection catalog for 100 zloty 1947 noted a proof print of this type for both reverse and obverse, but the numbers in the perforation are different (reverse: 2..4.2.1948. and obverse 3..3.9.2.19....) also it was probably a kind of code perforation, in part based on the date.
In the corners of the unprinted side, traces of die-cutting, with a slight abrasion of the paper surface (analogous also visible on pieces from the Lucow Collection, as well as were in a more drastic form on two pieces of this type of sample issue 1946 sold by us earlier here). Minor creases within the edges; production wrinkle in the field; otherwise unremarkable condition.
A very rare, unique item.
