A visually pleasing 50 gold Insurrection. Folded in eight. With a stronger central horizontal fold line and a vertical line at the bottom with local tears, which is due to the use of thin paper for printing. Nice colors, while the paper itself is well and evenly colored....
Banknote with beautifully visible, full so-called"crest" watermark of the Dutch company Jan Honig. Natural, with visible handwritten numbering and signatures of commissioners Jan Klek and Jan Klemens Gaczkowski. With a characteristic dry seal: with a breakage and a deliberate error in the word INDEPENDENCE(Ł instead of L). Well visible letters B.S. on the sides of the seal (chemical mark to secure the bill). Printed on thin paper.
As is known, denominations of 5 zloty - 25 zloty were printed on thin paper (weight ca=60g), and denominations higher than 100 zloty were printed on thicker paper (weight ca=90g). The 50 zloty, on the other hand, is found in both paper thicknesses as well as in an intermediate thickness. When juxtaposing two banknotes of different thicknesses, the differences in paper are immediately apparent. Just taking the banknote in hand will give us the full picture. A banknote printed on thin paper (like the one in the auction) is flabby, the one on thicker paper retains a certain rigidity. The difference can also be seen under the light, as we have presented in the additional photo.
