The first, and longest circulating, vintage of the Partition period two-dollar coins, in very nice condition.
The first type of the Partitions' two-dollar coins, minted without a collar. A type that wore out faster in circulation, due to the lack of the characteristic raised rim.
Important for typological collections of coins of the period, as this is the only vintage of two-penny coins on which this type of portrait of the tsar and eagle appears (changed as early as 1817).
