A very rare item.
Issued for many years as an issue of Mieszko III, due to the Hebrew Bracha we haclacha inscription in the rim (proclaiming"blessing and prosperity"). Attributed to his workshop in Kuyavia (due to the concentration of this type in the treasure from Ujma Duża). Perhaps, as D. Gorlinska emphasizes, however, being an issue of his successors: Wladyslaw Laskonogi, or - most likely - Konrad Mazowiecki.
Type absent from the medieval collection of 10 GNDM auctions, among others.
First time in our offer.
Representation: face en face, with spherical hairstyle. In a pearl border a Hebrew inscription punctuated with stars.
Silver, diameter 12.5 x 14.5 mm, weight 0.14 g.
