Here is one of the rarest Polish coins of the 20th century - the first fenig of the Kingdom of Poland.

A sought-after and absent coin even in advanced collections. Accepted in them even in poor condition, below 3, as the emerging phenos of this vintage usually bear traces of strong corrosion in the background. Here we have an exceptional piece against their background.

A beautiful, natural, minted piece with a mirror background, testifying to minting with a specially prepared polished stamp.

Fenig 1917 is a coin both very rare (old catalogs referred to it as R8), but also interesting. Pieces appearing were long considered to be the surviving remnants of an issue destroyed in a fire at the Stuttgart mint. This thesis was challenged by Jerzy Chałupski in his specialized catalog for the period, pointing out that these coins, minted with a single pair of stamps, are most likely a trial issue.
