Light corrosion at the top of the obverse, brownish discoloration (probably from corrosion) as seen in the photo.
Second vintage of brass twenty-grope coins.
Mintage of 100 pieces.
A rare and valued item.
Brass, diameter 20.0 mm, weight 3.03 g.
A distinctive brass "sample" of the communist period, initiated by PTAiN and Wladyslaw Terlecki (then director of the State Mint).
The first samples made on this initiative were circulating aluminum coins (from 5 pennies to 1 zloty) with the concave inscription SAMPLE struck. It was only after "protests" by PTAiN members that it was decided to replace them with brass coins made in an edition of 100 pieces (more on this subject in the catalog "Polish Proof Coins 1949-1990" by J.Parchimowicz).
