One of the most difficult to obtain Danzig orts of Sigismund III.
1610 is a vintage missing from many advanced collections. A very rare trade. It is divided into two basic types: with single and double lion tails.
The present one is a rarer variant with lions supporting the city coat of arms with single tails (for more on it, see Norbert Grendel's article on gndm.pl). A variant with a dot above the bear's paw.
Only a dozen pieces of this variety have been available on the antiquarian market over the years, and only 3 pieces of this variant.
A nice, naturally circulated ort in the patina of an old collection.
