A mint ducat from the prized co-presidency of three brothers.
Beautiful luster. A trace of gentle bending. Excellent detail.
The highest and only such note in the NGC.
Very rare variety without the initials of the mincmaster (without EW on the sides of the shield). This is confirmed by the onebid archive (where out of 3 ducats of this vintage offered since 1999, this variety was absent), as well as the degree of rarity in Marcin Grandowski's specialized catalog (R7+).
Obverse: three half figures of princes in armor above the ornament. In the rim:
D G GEORGI LUDOVIC & CHRISTIA FRATR (apple).
Reverse: four-field shield of coat of arms. In the rim: inscription separated by rosette and mint mark (heart pierced with hooks - Christian Pfahler). In the rim:
DUCES SILESIÆ LI - GN BREG & WOL 1658
Reign: Jerzy III of Brzeg, Ludwig IV of Legnica and Krystian of Wolowsko-Olawski.
Mint: Brzeg.
