A set of later casts of medals from the Royal Suite in a custom-made box for a notable figure.
On the age stamped: Images of the Kings of Poland for His Lordship the Hon. Jen(enral) Div(izji) Hauke, Commander of the Artillery.
Jan Maurycy Hauke was a general of the Army of the Kingdom of Poland, as well as a minister of the Government Commission of War of the Kingdom of Poland.
The casts were made in cast iron, only the Varnañski in a different metal. A blank prepared for Poniatowski, who did not have his medal in the suite, and was supplemented by another medal or coin.
The rather poor quality of the castings, while the exquisite case with a dedication to a high-profile figure, may suggest that the box was originally with a silver set of the suite, replaced with cast iron in a later period. For this reason, this set in particular is worth considering because of the original leather-finished suite case. And the 19th-century cast iron castings also have their value.
