Unusual, difficult to determine the technique of making this medal.
Very good sound. Characteristically convex surface of the obverse background, edging inappropriate, rounded.
Good in detail of the main details of the imagery (e.g. armor), but some of the engraved elements, i.e. armor ornaments, royal hair.
Analyzing the details, it is difficult to refer to the technique by which this medal was made, as nowhere do we see features that would indicate that it was cast. On the contrary, details such as the nooks and crannies of the letters etc. stand out very well, sharply from the background. In a way, it looks a bit like a minted blank on which individual elements were engraved.
We are unable to clearly determine the method by which it was made, and as the item differs markedly from known originals, we offer it as a copy - a later rendition, nevertheless certainly an old one.
Most likely a 19th century casting of the coronation medal of King Stanislaw Leszczynski.
There is an engraving on the king's armor (instead of the original convex decoration of the king's armor).
Type with birds (larks) on the reverse.
In the field behind the king's figure written in ink the number 25 (former collection inventory number).
Silver, diameter 47 mm, weight 59.78 g.
