A medal commemorating the person of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, minted on the occasion of the unveiling of his horse monument in Ankara.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was one of the main commanders of the Ottoman Empire's army during the First War. After the end of the war and the defeat of the Ottoman Empire, he opposed the partition of Turkey and led Turkey into the War of Independence. After its successful conclusion, he took office as the first president of the Republic of Turkey.

Av. A likeness of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk wearing a military cap, left. At the bottom, signature TAUTENHAYN 1927.

Rv. Horse statue of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in nakaža, inscriptions in Turkish on its base and in the rim.

On the obverse in ink the number of the former collection, light patina, otherwise state of preservation without remarks.
