Silberne Tapferkeitsmedaille II. Klasse. The so called “small silver medal” (diameter 31 mm). Version with portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph I., type awarded 1914-1916. Under portrait signed with punchcutter’s (medallist) name: Tauenthayn.
On the rim engraved inscription "DIE KAMERADEN DES K.K. LDST. INF. BAONS. No. 40". With dedication scarce!
