As mentioned earlier in the description of the ducat of 1801, some of the Holland ducats of 1796, 1797, 1800, 1801 and 1802 were minted at the (controlled by the Holland province) West Friesland mint in Enkhuizen. The presented ducat comes from this rare issue. Despite the obliterated mintmark, this image of the knight appears in 1801 and 1802 only on ducats from the Enkhuizen mint. The mintage of the Holland ducats from 1802 struck in the Enkhuizen mint is many times lower than of the ducats from the same province, minted in the main mint in Dordrecht.
