Undated Hungarian type ducats were minted in Overijssel in the years 1590–1593. Despite the short period, these emissions are typologically quite diverse. Most of the known examples feature the king holding the royal orb on the obverse, and the provincial coat of arms between his feet. These coins were also minted with the coat of arms of the city of Kampen between the king’s feet. The legend of the reverse displays the mintmark of H. Wijntgens – two crossed mint hooks.
Nice condition, lots of mint gloss. Beautiful details of Madonna on the reverse.
