The last of the presented Gelderland ducats from the period 1648–1650. Also minted with the emperor on the obverse – this time holding a bundle of 4 arrows (in previous years it was 3 arrows). In addition to this type, in 1650 ducats were minted with a knight holding 7 arrows in his hand. The presented type with the emperor is much rarer (rarity R3 in the Jasek’s catalog, with R1 for the second type with the knight). Short sword. On the reverse, 8 dots evenly spaced around a square with an inscription.
Nice condition, wavy planchet. A lot of gloss and clear, sharp details.
